GST 8-day Level 1 + Level 2 DUAL Instructor Certification Course

Mat space is limited and this course is expected to sell out in advance. We strongly recommend saving your spot if you're interested in attending. Due to the limited capacity at this location, course tuition is non-refundable. If for any reason you cannot attend, your agency may send a replacement officer in your place. Alternatively, you may transfer to a different GST course location as long as notice is provided at least 1 month prior to your originally scheduled course.

Training Schedule is as follows:

Week 1: January 9-13, 2023 (5 Days, Monday-Friday)

Week 2: January 16-18, 2023 (3 Days, Monday-Wednesday)

Total Training Time: 51 hours (30 hrs week one + 21 hours week two)

Dual Certification Benefits: Most GST students attend GST Level 1 at one location and then attend a GST Level 2 course at a completely different location several months later requiring a total of 10 training days due to the fact that there are different student populations in the room for each course. With the Dual Certification Course format, we conduct the courses back-to-back so that students will learn all the techniques for both levels and all the essential teaching methodologies in 8 days of training instead of 10, since we don’t have to repeat the two days spent on Gracie Teaching Methodologies during the second week.

• Level 1 + Level 2 Certification in 8 Days: Without any prior experience you can get certified in GST Level 1 and GST Level 2 in the shortest time possible.
• Less Travel Time: Since the entire course is covered in 8 training days, you will spend less time away from your regular work duties than if you completed both certifications separately.
• Reduced Travel Expenses: Since both levels are completed back-to-back at the same location, you’ll save money on travel expenses when compared to completing both courses at separate locations.
• Reduced Tuition Expenses: The retail price for Level 1 and Level 2 certification if completed independently is approximately $2,400 ($1,200 per course). The cost for Dual Certification using this format is $2,000.

POST Credit for GST Completion*

While the hosting state does not currently offer POST credit for GST completion, if you are attending the course from out of state, you may qualify for POST credit in your state. The GST course is now POST Certified in over 35 states in America, making Gracie University the only jiu-jitsu organization in the country to achieve this distinction. The International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST) launched the National Certification Program (NCP) to establish law enforcement training standards and "best practices" relating to improved professionalism and skill sets for the nation’s first responders. Since NCP courses are recognized nationally, any time a Peace Officer from one of the member states completes GST Level 1 Instructor Certification Program (in person), the training hours will count towards the officer’s mandatory in-service training requirements. Free Online GST Access: To assist you with the integration of the GST program at your agency, and to ensure that you always have access to the most up-to-date GST techniques, you will be granted full access to the GST Online Video Course upon successful completion of the instructor certification program. Your online access will remain active for the duration of your certification period.
