I used the promise of a Gi for my two daughters ages 5 and 7 as another motivational tool to keep them doing their lessons. I got them their Gi when they got to their 3rd stripe.

Overall the quality for price is excellent. The Gi is well constructed and looks like it will last a long time, maybe even long enough for them to outgrow rather than wear out.

The pearl weave Gi is nicer (and nicer on your skin) BUT for growing kids that are not rolling hard they do not require the abrasion protection that bigger kids and adults need who train more aggressively. When they get bigger (and better with the Junior Combatives series) I will get them a Pearl Weave Gi. Until then, this is perfect.

I purchased this GI for my son and he loves it! He says is feels great and is very comfortable.

My soon to be 7 year old daughter just started training at Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in Athens, Ohio and needed a gi. After a little research, I found the Gracie gis and couldn't believe that they were only $45. They look great, her instructor loves them, and she seems comfortable and not restricted in it.
